2021 is Finally Here!!!

By

2021. We made it. Everyone seems to be very excited 2020 is over. I mean don’t get me wrong I am very glad to start a new year, have a fresh start. So what does it mean when we celebrate such a terrible year? Can 2021 be that much better? Have we really left all the awfulness in the past?

Probably not, but it is a really great opportunity to start over.

Starting a new year should include a look back to the last year, if even just for a minute or two. It will be okay, you can do it, like ripping off a band-aid. We are all in this together! I came across a blogger a bunch of years ago, she suggested looking at the past year to:

1. See what we would have changed

2. List all the good that happened the past year

3. See what we want to continue to work on in the new year

4. Think about what your top goal for the new year

My year was cra-zy, I mean crazy with a capital C.

I started my year with severe stomach pain no one could diagnose, causing me to be in bed 24/7, unable to eat, and malnourished. The quarantine was a piece of cake for us, since my chronic health problems keep me at home most of the week already. But we did need to venture outside for the dozens of testings and doctor’s appointments in offices with other people. So in the end of August I was not surprised when I came down with cold like symptoms. Yep Covid-19 dun, dun, dunnnn. I will write more about that in future blog posts, it was quite a time. I was in the hospital, yada yada yada… and I am still recovering.

But there were good times and great memories from 2020. I don’t want to be so focused on the bad stuff I miss the blessings. The amazing girl’s trip where we stayed in the condo, made real hot chocolate, and went to look at Christmas lights. #ParmenterGirls2020 The beautiful great- niece was a born, turning her brother in one of the cutest older brothers ever. #HunterandAva

Hubby and girlie talked me into going camping at the family cabin for 2 nights. #ihatecamping

Hubby took us to Chrystal Bridges Museum for my birthday.#birthday2020

I am sure you can find some good things among the bad in 2020. So write down the bad things, to try to avoid them in the future. List all the good things, to help you be thankful for the blessings.

2020 will go down in history as a memorable year. So let’s make 2021 a year so boring we will forget. #make2021unremarkable
