Mom’s Day

By

Mother’s Day. My motherhood story was not an easy one. We went into this adventure knowing I would have problems due to my PCOS, and later diagnosed with several other illness which contributes to infertility. Even all the research did not properly prepare me for the exhausting time, both physical and emotional. My hormones were all over the place, and to top it off I was finishing my internship and dissertation We had people in 4 states pray for us to get pregnant. i remember feeling so alone, no one i knew at the time had gone through this. My friends and family had no problem popping out kiddos (and I had no problem spoiling them 😃).

When you are trying for a baby, you see babies everywhere! i felt so alone, and i felt like a complete failure. i just wanted to be a mom, to hold that baby in my arms, to watch her grow up.

We were eladed when we found out I we were having a baby girl. I was scared to death until 32 weeks. We knew that her chances of surviving were much better after 32 weeks. Then ironically she didn’t want to come out at all. She had to make a grand arrival. We named her after her Grandmothers, to honor our moms.

I understand how difficult it is for women trying to get pregnant to see all the hype of Mother’s Day. There are so many amazing women who can give you support and comfort, women who fill a “mom” roll through every stage of our lives. Use this month to show gratitude to all the amazing women in your life. If you haven’t all ready, find women who has gone through the same trials. It is always nice to have your own cheerleader.

God made me a mom, and I will forever be grateful.
