Hello, my name is Dr. Amy Parmenter Barber. I live with Chronic Migraines among other disorders including Ehlers-Danlos, Hemicrania Continua, POTS, Trigenamal and Occepital Neuralgia, and Gastroparisis. I also deal with Depression and Anxiety, but with all these doctors and pain it I would be surprised if I didn’t.
Daily living can be complicated with a severe disability, but I am chosing to find joy where it can be found. Most days are tough, really tough, pain wears a person down. I am determined to fight for my health. I have taken a leap of faith and began getting involved in advocacy. I don’t want my daughter to go through what I went through with doctors, medication, and insurance.
This blog is for me to help spread information that could help others. We all have a voice and should use it to make our future better. Chronic Illness is just that, chronic. There is no cure, so I want to make treatment as good as it can be. I want to share what is going on with my health and hopefully helping someone else in the process.
